Pours to a deep deep brown with a nice foamy head. Head stands well then laces nicely. Smell is a bit of cocoa and caramel. Taste is nicely carbonated chalky chocolate and finishes with some bitterness. This ain’t Guinness but for $0.75 for a pounder can it’s a winner.

Dark brown color with thick thin beige head with short retention.
Mild sweet aroma with predominant notes of caramel and some chocolate.
Flavor with notes of burnt sugar, cereals, lager yeast and caramel. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Bordering medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Unbalanced sugary Dark Lager with apparent notes of cereals and caramel. Quite cloying, this felt as a caricature of an English Stout.

This is definitely drinkable, but it is not a stout. It is more of a black lager like Negra Modelo. It has a malty sweetness to it. Maybe they bottled some of their bock in stout bottles?

Average beer but still one of my favourites in Argentina, mainly sweet and a only a very mild toast taste.

A - pours with one finger of tan foam on top of a black body with a hint of amber showing through. Good retention, light lace.
S - dark bread with a bit of toffee and dry caramel.
T - sweet malt up front, toffee and brown sugar in the middle. Some light hops and a hint of roasted character shows up in the finish but isn't enough to balance the sugar.
M - a somewhat thick body, moderate carbonation, and a sweet finish.
D - kind of an anemic stout, but it is a halfway decent brown porter. One dimensional sugary character without any real malt or hop bitterness to balance.
