Pours slightly flat, color is a copper brown.
Aroma: Wheat, bananas, cloves, caramel. Big malt flavors. Rich dried fruits.
Taste: A hint of sour cherries, tobacco, caramel, plums, raisins, some wheat, bananas. This is very unique and an awesome bock.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, creamy, a bit tart. Lower amount of carbonation with a medium to full body. Ends clean.
Overall, this is a very unique bock with a lot of great flavors. I was very happy to get to try this one. Pretty drinkable.

I had this at the Michigan Brewers Guild Winter Beer Festival.
A: Dark, very dark. Like used motor oil, with a slight ruby tinge (like a dark dopplebock). A little off-white head.
S: Malt and booze!
T: The alcohol flavour is certainly noticable, but the huge potency is actually held in balance by the malt (bread, nut, caramel and dark fruit flavours). The yeast has produced some nice fruity, almost sherry-like flavours as well. Remarkable.
M: Thick, heavy, proteinaceous body (not syrupy-sweet). Carbonation was on the low side of moderate.
D: Phenominal, considering the strength!
