On tap at The Livery.
Pours a light copper color without really forming any head at all. A few swirls gives it a bit, but not all that much. The nose is really plain and doesn't really contain any hop character. Some light bread dough in the background. The flavor is really grainy and, again, there is no hop component to speak of. The same can be said of the feel, which was light and lacked any bitterness. High carbonation. Not a big fan.

Had this on tap on our Michigan Brew Tour
A:Poured a orange see thru color with hardly any lacing
S:Mild hop aroma on this one with a small hint of yeast in the background
T:Not much there at all far as hops and malt wise but there is a very strong taste of yeast in this one
M:Very light body with mild carbonation
D:Another average APA, nothing to great or fantastic about it

Thanks to GbVDave for the growler! Poured into pints and shared with a few friends.
Poured a murky orangey copper with a late formed bubbly head that dissipated quickly- not surprising from a 2 day journey out of a growler. It still had just enough carbonation though.
Aromas of spicy, citrusy hops and toasted malts. Almost a belgian like quality to the aroma- maybe even some esters. The same followed in the taste with balanced hop bite. I dont believe there to be any spices in this brew, but the hops used gave a subtle spiciness or pepper characteristic to it. Drinkability and mouthfeel are spot on for the style more or less.
This was an interesting brew, when I saw it listed as an American Pale Ale, I was confused. Then Dave told me that the Bartender said it was more of a Saison-Belgian Pale Ale type. I think it's somewhere in between. Cheers!

Excellent Pale Ale from the Livery. This is a highly drinkable midwestern pale. Bready, malty tastes dominate with a slight bitterness provided by the hops. The color is a deep copper with a thick head from an aggressive pour.
If I lived in Benton Harbor, I'd probably have one of these every day, unfortunately for me, I'm in the beer-hating state of Illinois.

Paris-Roubaix is named after one of the longest running bicycle races in France and aptly nicknamed The Hell of the North. The Paris-Roubaix has been held every April since 1915.
Paris-Roubaix Pale Ale arrived in a pint glass. The body was lightly hazed and pale copper in color. The head was a dense and creamy off-white finger of foam. The lacing was creamy, thick and sticky.
The smell was sweet malts, green grass, citrus, and earthy with a husk-like nuttiness. The taste follows the scent pretty well with the addition of citrus zest, moderate plus hop bitterness and a pleasant dry finish.
The body is medium, the carbonation is moderate and the mouthfeel is best described as slick.
As a style American Pale Ale is something of a catchall. This was something I enjoyed and I think that other BAs will enjoy as well.
