Pours a deep ruby brown color with very little head and decent carbonation.
Scent of sugars, rich fruit, strong malts, oak, and a hint of bread.
Taste of yeast, caramel, sugars, rich fruit, with a hint of alcohol and some bread. Finishes with an oak flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth and a bit biting.

"Aged 3 months in a 5th use barrel and hopped with East Kent Golding and Syrian hops. Belgian malt and yeast is used and some wild yeast from the barrel. Finally dry-hopped prior to release. (This is the base beer used for the upcoming Peche and Kriek beers to be released in the Summer of 2008)."
Sounds good to me!
Appearance: Pours a clear, garnet-hued body with no head, but this is a handbottle, so it's to be expected.
Smell: Fruity aroma of young apples, purple-colored cotton candy, and a stick or two or JuicyFruit with a dusting of menthol.
Taste: Sweet, syrupy caramel maltiness. Slight herbaceousness. Light oak component. Banana and grape-like fruit flavors. Slight yeastiness. Fruity, sweetish finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Quite still and quite warming.
Drinkability: Spot-on tastiness!
