Had this one in a pint glass at Hopcat in Grand Rapids.
At least I think it was this one. See, I was sitting with two other people who, coincidentally, both ordered IPAs served in pint glasses. The waitress arrived with all three and smelled them in order to determine which was which. I have faith that she was correct.

A- Darker than the usual. Amber color with a small, bright white frothy head that stuck around before disappearing completely. Didn't leave much lacing on the glass when it made its departure.

S- Spicy and hoppy with a grapefruit back. To me, it smelled like it was over-spiced; almost like a winter warmer. I can see how my waitress was able to pick this one out. Very distinct.

T- The aromatic spices made it seem sweeter than most at first. As it goes down it has traces of citrus hops followed by a very mild suggary sugary malt. Not much bitterness.

M- Medium body made for a slightly thick feeling - though certainly not syrupy by any means. Left a surprisingly crisp, clean feeling.

D- Spicy, hoppy and kind of sweet. It left me feeling like I could drink another but it isn't the type of IPA I'd want to have more than one of.

Overall it was decent and has some original aspects. The spicy sweetness is sneaky and this is not an IPA that assaults your palate. I wouldn't be opposed to drinking it again if for no other reason than to see if it is the same beer. Again, it was all right.

A-Slightly hazy light copper with a small off-white head that left spotty lace.

S-Nice pop of spicy/piney hops with a touch of grapefruit and mango. Underlying sweet malt sneaks in in the end.

T-Sharp biting spice hop bitterness with a citrus twang. Mildly sweet caramel backs things up.

M-Medium-light body quite crisp with a good lingering aftertaste.

D-Good stuff....a very pleasant hop forward "light", crisp hop forward American IPA. Nothing outrageous, but a well put together brew that will make any hop lover happy.
