Served on-tap at the Livery.
A: The wheatwine is a coppery brown color, full and dark. It sits rather still in the glass with little in the way of carbonation.
S: The nose is sweet bourbon, too sweet even. The intensity of the booze suggests that this may have lingered in a young barrel for a little too long.
T: The first sip is a kick to the eyes. Sweet boozy heat, mild wheat and lots of bourbon make a bullrush at you. The bourbon is strong and domineering, never allowing the wheatwine to shine through. Booze is heavy on the back end, as it weighs in at nearly 11%. Drink with caution.
M: A bourbon wasteland that is nearly too sweet to be properly enjoyed. The Livery is known for barrel aging, so I hope that this is an exception.
D: At 10.5%, three people shared in this behemoth. Drink at your own risk (or with your own DD).
