On tap at livery - pours with more head than the others here, and the head sticks around. Dark and a bit cloudy, the appearance suggests the awesomeness to come. Aroma is a perfect piney hop nose with hints of sweetness. The flavor follows it up nicely with a full herbal taste and enough malt to back it up. The mouth is a bit heavy, but all around this is a great, great beer.

Had on tap at the brewery...
A- Pours a hazy dark amber color. One finger off white head that showed low retention. No real lacing on the sides of the glass but there is a light film on the glass after each sip.
S- Big malts in the front of this which I wasn't expecting/ Caramel and toffee notes mixed with a light fruity hop aroma. There is a floral hop on the ending of this. A nice balance between the malts and hops on this one.
T- Hop bitterness on the front end of the beer. A caramel malt middle with a light toffee undertone. Light fruity flavors toward the backend with a faded citrus hops in the ending.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. More malts left on the palate after each sip with some light hops and alcohol flavor in the aftertaste. Flavors were a little seperated but not so much that it ruined the beer. Medium drying on the palate.
D- This is a good beer. A double IPA it is not which is what they were going for. The only real miss for the day but....a good beer never the less.

10 oz pour on tap at the livery. Poured a cloudy amber to light brown with little or no head. Aroma is a complex bouquet of hops with hints of caramel and sweet malt. Big hop flavor and aroma with a cutting musty/ moldy flavor lingering after each sip.
Alcohol and bitterness shine through, but cant quite cut the musty flavor. Disappointing overall.

Served on tap at the Livery on Benton Harbor, MI. It's got my initials so it has to be good.
A: The DIPA is a copper brown color, looking like an amber bottle. Very little head sits atop this one.
S: The nose is a blast of booze and hops. Neither one stands out, but both make themselves known. One bitter smell.
T: Wow! This is not a beer for the faint of heart. Both hops and alcohol are through the roof. Bitterness is blinding, citrusy and floral with just too much behind it. Booze and malts are in strong supply, balancing the hops as much as they can. They fall short in their task. A bold hoppy mess that I liked drinking.
M: Hops and alcohol. That is all.
D: Too many hops and too much alcohol. Nothing bad has ever resulted from the combo, has it? I was glad to be in the Livery sipping on this one.
