Bottle from 2012 according to the sticker left on it by my trading partner

A: pours thick and black with no head formation and only slight bubbles
S: smells of bourbon with notes of wood, vanilla, caramel, and some chocolate with some dark fruits
T: taste is caramel, vanilla, bourbon, some alcohol heat and burn, a little wood, some chocolate. swallow is wood, caramel, vanilla, chocolate and some molasses
M: I'd say this beer is flat with a somewhat heavy feel on the mouth and a dry finish
O: taste is solid, looks a little sad without a head and the mouthfeel is lacking carbonation. this beer had great potential if the carbonation was there.

A= The appearance was dark black with a nice tan head that took a little bit of time to go away.

S= Dark Fruits, Raisins, and brown sugar

T= The taste to me was strong in the Dark Fruits the alchol was really hidden well and was a decent Imperial Stout.

M= For this style I think it was a little bit on the thin side. Had a velvet aftertaste to just thought it would be thicker.

O= Overall really liked it and would try it again but they could knock the price down a little I think it was about $12. I think it could be less for a pour of this.

This is a homebrew contest winner's beer.
A-dark black with little to no head

S-dark fruit and a little bit of sugar.

T-May more watery than i expected. Not nearly enough malt. Kind of disappointing

M-Medium body and smooth.

O-Decent, but needs more backbone...

On-tap at The Livery.

Pitch black with a thin medium brown head. Head lingers around the edges.

Smell is sweet dark fruits, raisins, brown sugar.

Roasty with a slight sweetness upfront--molasses and dark dried fruit flavors. Bitterness increases at the finish. Very roasty with some dark fruit sweetness. Some roasted coffee notes at the finish as well.

Full bodied, smooth and creamy. Low to moderate carbonation. No alcohol presence.

Nice balance of sweet and bitter--overall fairly sweet, but very far from cloying. Good dynamic flavor. Body comes off as a little thin and could be beefed up a bit. Alcohol well integrated. Starts to open up a lot more as it warms. I liked this beer a lot despite finding it hard to increase it's score more.
