Unsure how to clasify this, so it goes under the nebulous Euro Dark Lager style. Called a "black lager" by the brewery, yet nothing like a Schwarzbier. More of a goofy tribute to Jimmy Walker...
Murky brown, red in the light. Spotty lace to one side of the glass, a thin veil of foam stretches across the surface, and eventually parts, leaving behind a lasting cobweb skim.
Smells a bit yeasty and "green", underlying notes of graphite and toasted grain.
Moderately bitter, earthy flavors with little to balance the bittering hops and phenolic yeast that dominate. Medium bodied with an acceptable level of carbonation, though it has a bit of a bite to it. Overall worth a try, and somewhat drinkable, though it seems a bit unfinished.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
