500ml Bottle conditioned BBD of Mar 2013 @ home on 27 Dec 2012: poured slowly into a UK pint sleeve, no sediment left the bottle.
Looked good: brown to amber body, clear and clean. The head an off-white uneven covering of foam.
Malts to the fore in smell and taste: slight chocolate and toffee in the nose with hints of fruits and yeast. The taste was drier than the aromas indicated and the beer was actually quiet dry and bitter in the mouth.
Different but not really my bag. Nothing wrong with it at all: just didn't do it for me, to dry and lacked 'umph'.
