February 2003: (Cask conditioned). I had just a taste of this at the Wear Valley CAMRA beer festival, will need to have it again. Some natural carbonation, low head. Very malty aroma and flavour, low bitterness. Typical Northeastern English style.

500ml bottle as a Christmas gift:
This one was an easy going, inoffensive and fairly average bitter that was easy to drink but done little to catch my imagination or make it memorable. Whilst certainly drinkable, it somehow seemed a little plain and basic sadly and as such it's not one I'm likely to pick up again I'm afraid.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
