Bottle split three ways at a bar in Melbourne. From notes.

A - Poured dark ruby and hazy with good carbonation and no lace and no retention.

S - Spice. Christmas cokies, some chocolate and mint maybe?

T - Spicy. Lot's of baking spice with chocolate and mint. Tastes alot like an After Eight or something.

M - Medium body, good carbonation, dry finish.

O/D - Interesting. One of the more different beers I've had in Australia. Not exactly my thing because of the spice, but it wasn't as offensive as other spiced beers. It was an interesting beer and quite drinkable, but a third of the bottle was enough.

Nice name hope it tastes as good and pours a dark as night kola hue which leaves a two finger off white head and a rim of lacing, the smell is liquorice, nutmeg, raisins and a light touch of star anise, the mouthfeel is medium bodied and velvety with tastes of of chocolate coated oranges, aniseed, vanilla, herbal hops and finished with a spicy pepperness and overall definately a different drop thats worth a try cheers.

This pours a very dark amber/brown with a beige head that disappears straight away.

The nose is all spice. I find it a bit hard to pick what's in there. The bottle says vanilla & I get that. Some licorice root, nutmeg, so much going on. They've used native spices as well which would make it hard to identify them all. Very interesting except I keep thinking of vanilla Coke.

The Vanilla Coke comparison is stronger on the palate. Quite sweet and the flavours are a bit of a hodge podge to me. Needs more bitterness for mine.

Medium bodied.

An interesting beer but not a style I like. Will struggle to get through a whole bottle.
