Bottle: solid brown 330mL bottle with a very stylish (and cute) label. I particularly like the "Does not contain any real ducks" label.
Appearance: a slightly hazy mid-amber in colour with steady streams of carbonation. A solid one-finger off-white head pops up and drops away surprisingly quickly, leaving a simple ring around the glass.
Aroma: quite light on the nose, with some sweet malts overriden by a bitterness that isn't so much hop-driven as it is an almost herbal bite.
Taste: again very herb-driven with some malt backing. The flavours come through quite spiky and sharp - definitely more of a slow-drinking beer. An awkward fug spoils the flavour.
Aftertaste: the biting bitterness backs off, leaving a smoother malt flavour. Not bad.
Mouth feel: medium in body, but with a spiky attitude - reckon they could have tuned the carbonation down a little.
Overall: a decent English Bitter, but certainly not the best I've had. Pretty dear too - I just think I'll stick with the English brewers for now.
