A dark black brown, opaque with a decent creamy tan head with outstanding lacing. The aroma is surprisingly meek but offers brown bread and herbal hops with sour dough. Not bad. The flavor seals the deal with no doubt gunky pine- herbal hops, a bit medicinal with heavy malt and hints of dark chocolate and charcoal. There's a citrus edge to it that's subtle but the funky hops dominate without being overpowering. The body is medium with a smooth, conservatively carbonated slick feel that has a slightly chalky touch. Very enjoyable if you fancy the funky hops.
