Bought this 0.375l bottle at Liebick near München while there in mid-September. Quaffed 13OCT15 out in The 'Zebo. Label says it was brewed in 2013, bottled in FEB14 and best-by is FEB18.

Poured into a small tulip, it was a very dark, opaque, flat chestnut color. Had a dense, fine, creamy beige head and some scattered carbo. Lacing left behind was decent. Aroma was an inviting semi-sweet mix of raisins and dates. Body was better than medium, and it glided like silk over the tongue.

Tasted of sweetness right off, with subtle caramel. More distinct were dates, figs, currants and a smidge of choco. Also had a bit of cherry and raspberry present, and the finish was on the dry side. A solid Belgian Strong Dark Ale, and from a German brewer to boot! Prosit!!
