A: Pours clear golden with lots of bubbles. THe white head is tall but a bit uneven. Dissipation is rather slow and leaves decent lacings.

S: Rich malt, sweet, but not overly sweet. Grass and grain, some nettles in the back. A hoppy bitterness lures in the back.

T: Full taste; heavy sweetness from the rich malt, almost a bit chocolaty but still light in color. Bitterness from hops follows the sweetness nicely.

M: Thick and full body. Carbonation is low in the mouth eventhough the apperance made me think otherwise. Aftertaste is medium-long and sweet but also surprisingly bitter in an interesting way.

O: A nice and full Bock, the only bad thing is that this beer is too much Bock, it's almost a Doppelbock - very full and rich in malt. Actually not a bad thing since I love Doppelbocks, but not really true to the Bock-style...

A dark golden colour with moderate carbonation and a medium size white head.

Aroma is sweet and malty, but also hoppy in a floral and very vital way. Quite rich and heavy and very delicious.

The taste starts of malty and very sweet, perfectly supported by the beer's thick body and smooth mouthfeel. Little salty notes pop up too, paving the way for a rather bitter and hoppy finish. Alcohol is noticeable as well.

Not the kind of Bock I am inclined to expect around autumn, but more of a spring time character to this one, and one of the most hoppiest German beers that I know of. Nice!

The beer comes in a pretty little 0.33 liter swing top bottle with a white and maroon colored label.

Deep golden colored liquid holds a few tiny bubbles. Creamy off-white head fades quickly to a film. The aroma is full of mildly sweet malt with a hint of roses. Thick raw malt flavor up front followed by a pinch of bitterness and alcohol. Some floral hops bob in and out until it finishes with a solid bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and thick, but it goes well with the flavors. I'm not a big fan of Bocks normally. They're usually too sweet and out of whack, but this one is flavorful and quite drinkable.
