Hazy golden orange color with fluffy, white head. Aroma has honey sweetness, banana and a touch of vanilla. Taste starts on the sweet side, malty with dried banana. Finish is more acidic / tart and dry. Body is medium with high effervescence. Not really the typical weizen. It has the classic characteristics but with some interesting twists.

Relatively clear golden colour with a smooth, creamy, white head. Fair head retention for style.
Quite aromatic with a lot of banana and touches of clove. Some bubblegum. No wheat.
Very sweet on the palate. Lots of fruit. Bubblegum. It lacks that crisp, fresh character that wheat really brings.
Medium body with moderately high carbonation. Good.
A solid and very drinkable beer. A little more wheat would be nice.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a straight pint glass.
Pours a cloudy, light gold colour with a nice head.
Smells good, fairly yeasty.
Tastes extremely well balanced (when warmed up from fridge temperature slightly) between malts and a sour yeast taste. A crisp, refreshing finish.
Overall a great example of the style, highly recommend this to any hefeweizen lovers.

i'm adding this as new because it has a different ABV than their other listed weiss, and also has no mention of the word "leichtes" anywhere on the label.
500ml swingtop bottle with "best by" date of 13/02/09, tasted in mid-march 2009. i was assured that the bottle had been refrigerated the whole time. poured into weizen glass
golden, slightly dull, straw color with orange tint. cloudy with yeast. decent head fades to wisps, then just a ring. lacing never sticks.
aroma of estery banana and ripe apple, with cloves or anise finishing the lightly phenolic end. trace of noble hops in the middle. bready notes underneath.
sweet, malty and fruity flavors, lots of banana notes and finishing with sweet clove-like spices. bready yeast with gentle bitterness from the light grassy hop. faint acidity near the finish.
ever so slightly thin, but smooth. trace acidic texture in the finish. spritzy carbonation is somewhat prickly, but bringsout a brightness to the acidity.
