Had this on tap at Portland BC. What a treat! Easily the best of the beers sampled.
Brilliantly clear, medium amber to copper in color, without a head and poor retention and lacing (such as it is with most cask ales). Aroma is invigorating...brandy, intense fruit, clean alcohol, cotton candy....wow. Taste is sweet with hints of licorice, brandy, scotch, and intense raisiny malts. The alcohol is very firm, but it is extremely clean, making it a sipper. Mouthfeel is vinous and cloying with, suprisingly, only a medium body. Mildly hopped and the finish is dry only from the alcohol. Very interesting, almost scotch-like. This one walks a delicate balance between the bourbon and the beer, letting each display it's own characteristics. Very smooth...very nice. This would age wonderfully. Exceptional stuff. The best "bourbon barrel" beer I've had so far.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
