The hop juice is more apparent than the barley juice!
A: Light amber with a bubbly, off-white head. Thin ring of retention, little lacing from the cask.
S: Great citrusy hop aroma with a hint of underlying grainy biscuit.
T: A nice blend of citrusy hop flavour (tangerine, orange, nectarine), nice biscuity malt, good bitterness.
M: Body is on the lighter side of moderate and it really doesn't seem as big as it is.
D: Very drinkable.

This beer was created for Volo's 5th Annual Cask Days. I had the pleasure of pouring it for the first four hours of the festival, and drinking it thereafter. It was actually the biggest seller at my station, and after finally getting to it myself I can see why.
Pours a hazy yellow, with a finger of bubbly head that soon drops to a collar. Great citrus aroma, with lots of juicy orange and sweet grapefruit. Freshly squeezed barley juice is perhaps a misnoomer for this gem, because this beer is all about hops. Lots of amarillo flavour - tangerine, OJ and candied grapefruit peel. Some light caramel and pale malts in the background help to reel the hos in slightly and help to provide some balance.
This is certainly a juicy beer, and a very drinkable one. I'd love to see this as a regular offering. Throw in a bit more malt to balance things out and this could be stellar. Nice stuff, Doug!

High IBU felt here, despite 45 ranking. Cask at 2009 Volo Cask days. Taste like freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. Dry hopping, a bunch of finishing hops. Amarillo and C hops? Good soapy head, and malted down with something giving it unique overall flavour.
