Agadir 28/12 2017. 50 cl can from Victoria Drink Store. Very simple red and yellow design assuring me that this is "Best Quality".

Pours clear pale yellow with a big, bubbly white head. Settles as a thin almost transparent layer of foam. No lacing.

Aroma is sweet malts, hobby glue and artificial sweetener.

Medium strong carbonation providing fizzy mouthfeel and thin, watery palate.

Flavor is less sweet than implied by the aroma. Medium sweetness with light citrus sourness for balance.

Smells worse than it tastes but there is some ground to cover before this beer lives up to its claim of being "Best Quality".

Bottle. Clear light amber with minimal head.
Grainy smell.
Corn flavour. A light sweetness at the front followed by a mid bitter taste.
Light body with a high carbonation.
Straightforward EPL to cool down with beside a pool in Marrakech.

Sep. 2006: RBESG 2006 Grand Tasting, as Stork Lager. My first Moroccan beer (there probably won’t be many more). Foul industrial pale lager aroma and flavour. Utterly boring. Undrinkable unless ice cold.

Pale straw, clear & soapy lacing for a head.

Mix of sweet grain & faint smelling hops that hint at a syrupy aroma. There is some corn & various other adjuncts present, including vegetables & more grain.

Mix of sweet adjuncts and corn that has a little bit of a hop like taste to it, all of which matches the nose quite closely. There is also some grain in there too.

Somewhat smooth with a bit of a dry, sticky finish that is a surprise after the initial refreshing taste to it.

Sweeter than most of the other Moroccan beers I have tried & slightly better than most of them too, although not by much it must be said.

Pours a pale golden yellow colour with almost no head. No lacing on the glass. Smells pretty much like barley, pretty much the smell I get when I enter a brewery. Clean taste, nothing off. Over-aggressive carbonation makes this a bit harsh to drink. That's 3 Moroccon beers for the tasting. Who knew I'd ever try a beer from this country?

Jason's bottle. Least liked of three Moroccan bottles brought back freshly from Morocco. Big head, light yellow, above average carbonation. Watery with a tingling mouthfeel, taste is bitter water. Not too drinkable. Airline fuel taste that would go with sushi if you have to drink it.

Had this beer at the Hotel Ibis in Casablanca. Served in a somewhat warm silver can. Poured into a small pint glass.

Minimal head. Very clear yellow color. Light straw.

Smells like corn and alcohol. Very slight hops (practically non-existant).

This tastes like the Bud of Morocco. Honestly, very macro-brew flavor. Little taste. Like beer water rather than beer.

If you are desperate for a drink in Morocco, then have Casablanca. Its not much better but its better than anything else.

-thanks ma- Pours with a medium head, dissipates at a slow rate but does leave a headring... some smell, nothing bad, indifferent... Taste is bold and bitter, actually nice stuff.. could be real good in a desert on a camel.."that's difficult"

While in Morocco I went to the hotel bar to see what selection they had. I started out with a Heineken because somebody told me they tasted "better" on the other side of the Atlantic.

I asked the bartender for something stronger, and he gave me a Stork Premiere. I was looking for a porter or stout, but I wasn’t going to be picky.

It has a decent head, but it didn’t seem to retain well. It’s “fizzyness” did retain somewhat longer, however. Its aroma did not impress me at all. The taste I was expecting was similar to Corona.

The taste was not bland as I expected, slightly fuller than Heineken, but about what you would expect from a Euro Pale Lager. The aftertaste wasn’t pleasant, probably the product of adjuncts.

Although this beer was stronger, it wasn’t as smooth as most beers of the same style.

From a green 33cl bottle given to me by a friend for reviewing here (thanks Jennifer). The main label has text in French while the smaller label on the neck is in English. Odd. Best before August 2005 (6 months ahead).

On opening, a surge of carbonation was observed. Fizzy golden-yellow with an enthusiastic head. Strong corny aroma at first which subsides (thankfully) with the head. Smells like I've stuck my head in a pan of half-cooked vegetables, not a good start.

Taste is bland, not much of anything; a bit of wet cardboard mixed in with corn and mild notes of malt and hops struggling to be apparent. Bland finish, reminiscent of soggy paper. Aroma is offputting all the way, even after the head had dissipated.

A truly unenjoyable and uninteresting beer. 'Casablanca' from the same brewery is far superior. This is just common swill.
