A - Served a dark brown-black color with a thin tan-chocolaty layer of frothy head. The head fades away at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is full of Bourbon and sweet coconut. There is some nice oak and vanilla. There is also some roasted chocolate malt and a touch of sweet lactose.
T - Starts off with some nice Bourbon elements with some vanilla and oak with a bit of sweet coconut and light chocolate flavors. Through the middle, some stronger roasted chocolate malts and stronger Bourbon flavors come through. The finish is a mix of Bourbon, with some strong vanilla, and some chocolate and coconut that linger.
M - Medium-full bodied with mild carbonation. Feels very smooth and the Bourbon gives the beer a nice warming feeling.
D - Very drinkable. The Bourbon character mixes extremely well with the base porter here. I really like the combined vanilla and coconut flavors.
