Located on one of the main drags of Ocala, it was a welcomed respit from the beer desert that is central Florida.
The outside appeared like any other cookie cutter Applebee's like chain restaurant. Upon entering, a copper kettle and lauter tun are visible, along with sacks of grain. However it didn't appear that this apparatus was functional, but perhaps just for decoration. Either way it was a welcomed sight.
The bar and bar seating are located in the front and the dining area toward the back. The bar was very tastefully decorated and featured a rectangular stained oak bar, exposed brickface, high chairs and brass fixtures. The bar seating/bar dining area was equally well done.
There were about 6 house beers on tap along with some macro bottle and a full bar. The beers were served in Hops logo glasses.
The food was decent, but nothing to go out of the way for.
The prices were incedibly cheap, especially for the beer - $2.75 for a 12 ounce draft and $3.95 for a 20 ouncer.
The only problem was that it took a while to get our beers despite sitting about three feet from the bar and the place being virtually empty.
