Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a ruby brown to black coloring with a thin, filmy, light tan colored head. Aromas of dark roast coffee, both bitter and smooth. Smells really good. Flavors are solid and strong on a watery and thin body. Dark roasted and bitter, with a mocha highlight. The aftertaste is bitter and roasted, with a decent linger to it. Dry, bitter finish. The beer is solid on flavor, but weak bodied. Not bad.

Pours a solid black color with a minimal tan head that dissipates quickly. Smells of coffee, roasted grains and earthy hops. Lots of acridic almost burnt coffee in the aroma. The taste backs up what my nose found, acridic burnt coffee mixed with a light roasted grain and slight astringency. Finish is rather dry with a lingering coffee bite. Thin body, light carbonation, slick acridic mouthfeel. I did not enjoy this stout. The base beer doesn't have enough body to stand up to the thinning affects of adding coffee to a beer. Its also a bit boring and did I mention acridic.
