From the can with no date shown. Sampled on Oct. 19, 2019.
It is an attractive looking beer with its medium amber color, modest and slowly fading head and decent clarity.
I pick up a forward sensation of pine or spruce on the nose with a lesser brown bread character. Smells clean though.
Medium or better mouthfeel and smooth.
The flavor is at first sweet and piney but then the 62 IBUs kick in and leave a bitter finish. More of a traditional IPA and I prefer those to the NEIPA's of today.

Can from Candia Rd Brilliantly clear deep golden in color with a thin short lived bubbly white head. Caramel and bitter butterscotch with citrus and pine. Old school with notes of shipyard. Meh

Poured from a 12oz can into a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a dark gold color with a short off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains citrus, caramelized malts and earthy hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus, caramel and honey. Then a strong but not over-powering earthy hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty and provides a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a solid IPA to drink for a while.
