Pours hazy light brown with a thin, quickly vanishing white head.
The smell is of rock candy and perfumy spiciness.
The taste is rock candy and gummy sweetness. Mint and perfumy spiciness overtakes it with a touch of oak and acidity in the back. Alcohol really pulls through.
Light-bodied, the perfuminess sticks around on the tongue.
Interesting, but too overly spiced and perfumy, without enough to it to have more than one, IMO.

Sampled from an un-labeled, 12oz bottle, a gift from Mike Roy of Milly's at Extreme Beer Fest '07.
Initial pour into my chalice produces a clear, richly-hued ruby liquid. Sparse carbo within, and the head is thin to almost being nonexistant, save for some off-white bubbles congregating around the edge. Nose is on the mild side, without a doubt. A little bit of fruitiness comes forth, though I'm not picking up much else. Body is a bit less than medium, though it does have a smooth, silky feel on the tongue.
Flavor has a mild sweetness to it, with some candyish hints. Fruity attributes are the leading player on this stage. They are mild and muted, with some plum, light cherry and bit of raisin and fig. A suggestion of oakiness comes along, and in the dry finish is a noticeable, though mild, smoky character. Quite an interesting melange of flavors. Nice job, Mike. Nice to see local brewers willing to push the envelope in their work.
Prosit!!
