I've been waiting for this to come out for quite some time. I dropped by for lunch and what's on tap? TNT barleywine. I had thought it was going to be bottled but damn, who cares.
A - rich dark reddish orange, some haze with a nice off white head that fades to a lingering ring on the glass.
S - whiskey, vanilla, citric hops, sweet rich malts. wonderful!
T - Rich caramel / toffee malts swirl with a still potent citric hop effect layered throughout with a whiskey / vanilla / oak effect. Some warming note but softened by the barrel aging.
M - full bodied, rich creamy, modestly carbonated.
D - Easy to see why it's limited to a 10oz glass but dang, this is a great sipping beer.
A one time barleywine aged in a Jack Daniels barrel on tap now. Enjoy it while it lasts!
