I had a small sample of this about a month ago, and it seemed fine. Yet with this pint there was something really wrong. Perhaps that's why it was their special, at $1.00/pint? I'll start from the top: Had a medium body, and fairly smooth on the tongue. Dark brown in color, opaque, with a fine, creamy head. Some lace left down the glass. Nose had some roasty maltiness and sweetness, but also some sort of off, sourish smell. Taste started with the roasted malt flavor, but the finish was very astringent, with a lot of flavor similar to what you taste when you really char something in a pan on the stove. Struggled to finish the 1 pint I had.
