Pours hazy dark gold with a thin head that immediately vanishes. Virtually no lacing sticks to glass.
The smell is of bubblegum, cotton candy, juicy fruitiness.
The taste is of sweet bubblegum and sugar candy. Clove (and maybe a hint of nutmeg?) is noticeable, but hardly balances out the almost cloying sweetness. Juicy, pear-like fruitiness lies in the back and gives it a bit of depth. Peppery in the dry finish.
It is light-bodied. Almost thin, but okay.
A decent interpretation of a Belgian. It does becomes just too sweet after awhile, though the spiciness does try to balance it out, and works well enough for one. It's one of those that is easy enough for one, but that's about it.
