Zeus's Belgian Wit is a Belgian-style wheat beer that is unfiltered and pale straw in color. Made with 5 different malts and a blend of spices and citrus peel, it is a flavored ale that is refreshingly crisp with a dry finish. Fermented with Belgian yeast, a subdued fruitiness can be detected in the aroma and flavor.

Had on tap. Cloudy yellow with some white lacing and cap. Smell has the wheat, belgian yeast, flowers, lemon zest, and some spices. Taste is pretty much the same, good balance through out. Feel was a little on the thinner side, but got the job done with the finish. Would be very nice from spring.

Poured into a glass mug, a churnable milky yellow color formed the body while a small cap of a little white foamy head slid off gracefully. Some light stringy lace slid with the sips.
The aroma had some semi-sweet yeasty bready Belgian spiciness rolled about. Eloquent earthy to lemon sweetness slides in underneath.
The flavor mildly leads with the sweetness and boy it is really long and leads into the aftertaste in the same sense. Full throttled Belgian sweet wheaty grains.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and appropriate smoothness. Finishes with sweet wheat.
Overall, you know something, I was expecting this to be more of an Americanized version of this style but actually I was amazed that this actually leaned closer to a true Belgian witbier, well how about that!

Can from Bert’s Pours a hazy deep yellow color with a small bubbly white head that dissipates almost instantly. Aromas of light grainy malt a hint of lemony citrus and a touch of spice. Taste follows the aroma quite well and adds a bit of earthiness. Light easy to drink with enough flavor to keep it somewhat interesting. Not bad.

*Note: I bought this fella on sale at a local home brew store and the bottle was covered in dust. There are no date markings on the bottle, but I am guessing that my sample has been lightly aged.

L: Bright yellow with a foamy white head. Not clear, but it wasn't intended to be! Very good looking pour from a 22oz bomber.

S: The smell is a little plain, it almost smells like a simple light beer draught pour or something. Not a lot going on in the smells department to be honest. (But I honestly do not have the most sensitive nose, so who is to say!)

T: Tastes great! Sour and citric most of the way but ends with a nice spicy malt and bitter blend. This one may not be for everyone, but I like it!

F: Fairly light, I think the unfiltered yeast is really holding down the mouthfeel. Nothing unappealing here.

O: Its a sipper more than a chugger here. Deffinitely very forward with the lemon peel, and may be a bit bitter for most tastes. Overall, it's not bad, but I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend it unless you are into bitter and sour, fruity drinking. If you can get past the sourness though, the taste is actually quite good!

From the 650 ml. bottle. Available in bottle in fall 2015. Sampled on Oct. 21, 2015. The label says the ABV is 5.2%.

The pour is straw yellow with almost no head.

The spicy aromas bring out a bit of lemongrass, orange zest, coriander, all mixed with toasted wheat malts.

Medium to better than medium body.

The taste is smooth overall with a powerful spicy herbal character mingling with the toasted malts and citrus-like finish.

Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is an opaque, hazy, clouded, pale yellow coloring with a tall, foamy, frothy, white head that clings to thee glass as you drink. Aromas of lemon zest and coriander. Flavors are smooth and lightly roasted, with a banana and clove blending atop the ciinnamon, nutmeg, and coriander spicing. Very light and smooth. The aftertaste is a light, citrus, and yeasty flavor leading to a smooth, spiced, and light finish.
