Milly's Otto Altbier

Otto, a Düsseldorf Altbier, is a beer that was inspired by a trip to Düsseldorf's Altstadt (old town) when I was a student studying brewing at Doemen's Academy in Munich. The Altstadt has several fantastic brewpubs that produce some of the most wonderful tasting alts that I've ever tasted. Trying to be true to these beers, I brewed Otto with several German malts, a healthy dose of German Magnum and Tettnang hops and fermented with German yeast. The end result is a full flavored ale with a complex malt flavors and an assertive hop bitterness.
