An excellent craft beer selection once you figure out the tight layout of store. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I usually always find what I went in for.

A mix a six option would be a great addition, but the small size of store probably prevents that from being a reality.

As some have stated, the outside appearance is nothing appealing. Don't let that fool you though. Inside there's a nice selection of bottles from imports(German and Belgian) to a nice assortment of bombers (Fifty Fifty Eclipse, Cuivre, Even More Jesus, etc). There's about three or four 3' shelves that house the bottles and then a wall cooler that has quite a bit more of your IPAs and APAs and Lagers, etc. The staff was cool and offered help, which I declined but made it their task to find out the different wax colors for the Eclipse. If you are in the area, and need a craft beer refill, stop in at this place.

From the outside, I would rather attend a klan meeting inside an abandoned prison in detroit. But on the inside - damn they have an amazing selection. Both singles (hundreds) and six packs, which are cold. Great rare ones too, always a few 120 minutes when I go

So I'm up from Florida visiting the better half's family in the area and we're driving down US 44 and I see this aparent hole in the wall packie and got the ok to turn in to check it out.

Best selection to exterior appearance ratio ever!

A ton of big bottles available with another large selection of sixers in the cooler.

The selection was very well-priced too! I saw a couple of the bottles a few days ago in new hampshire and the same bottles here were a couple dollars cheaper.

The staff is more than helpful! I explained my plight of returning to Florida and wanting to bring half of the store with me and they offered a couple quick solutions (though not giving me winning lotto numbers...) and finally, as I'm getting ready to check out, one of the staff members went in their "back room" and pulled out a fairly rare bottle and offered it to me, saying it was the last one. When this was rung up, it was about 33% what I've seen advertised a few months ago in Florida.

To top it all off, I got a 10% volume discount for 6 bottles.

Bottom line, if you're anywhere in the area, make side trip here and let these guys know how much they're appreciated by giving them your business!

Im lucky enough to work around the corner, as everyone else has said it really don't look like much from the outside. If your not looking for it might drive right by! Nice little store with a really good selection and the staff are friendly & helpful! They had me try some of the beers that are know in my beer fridge on a regular basis!
Two tips!
1. they are located right near the Hess station same side of the street near the Rt44/Esmond St. intersection.
2. Drive the speed limit the cops in town love to radar the area & can be a bit jerky!

What can I say that Han Solo hasn't already said better in the original Star Wars... "She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid." If I hadn't previously heard of the great selection of craft beers, I would never have imagined B&C to be the craft beer haven it is.

I arrived about a half hour before closing on Friday November 19th and I was greeted by two employees and the owner - all were very friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. Although the store closed at 10:00, we were still talking with the owner at quarter after the hour (it's great to know that even late on a Friday the customer still comes first in some places)... When I finally left, with two wine boxes full of craft beers in hand, I left having learned something new about beer and I left extremely satisfied with my selections - some of which were outside my comfort zone of stouts/porters on the recommendation of the owner. I can't wait to try them all!

Inside the store was a large cooler section filled with domestic, imported and microbrews. The craft beer selections represented countries around the globe including some harder to find breweries as BrewDog and Mikkellers. On hand was a good quantity of New England Brewing Company's limited Wet Willy release, an extremely hard to find Berkshire Brewing Company release, as well as a generous repertoire of Montreal's Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel...

It was a beer connoisseurs Disney World tucked up in Rhode Island. I will be making the trip back to B&C from Connecticut on a semi regular basis - the selection is too diverse to ignore. B&C warrants regular visits, especially for those looking for the elusive diamonds in the rough (I found mine. Although I am not naming it, the review hints at it.)

I had heard about this place and decided to check it out. It is right off route 295 down from the Smithfield Crossings Strip Mall. Pretty good selection of beer and lots in the coolers. They have a very good variety of selections and the staff was might y helpful. I was presently surprised when I stepped inside to see what was available. Lots of cold six packs and many hard to find craft beers. The prices were very reasonable and the selection made my day. Very much worth your while if you are in the area. The staff was super!

Driven past this place plenty of times, just never thought it would have a selection like it does. It is small, but stocks plenty of cold and dry shelved beer. Many a bomber can be found here. Certainly a gem that is well hidden if you don't look it up or know the area well.

They had just gotten in some Imperial Stout Trooper on the day my friend and I showed up, so he was excited. I picked up some barley wine and farmhouse ale and was happy with my purchase, especially the price. I did notice that I paid a bit too much for Imperial Stout Trooper when I had someone go out and get it for me, but how did I know this place would have it 3 bux cheaper!

I will certainly drop by here again soon and check it often when I'm looking for something local places don't have. Check it out if you're in the area, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Never would have stopped here if a buddy of mine wasn't their liquor guy and told me that it's a craft store in BMC clothes. I was wowed by the selection for such a tiny place. Since my first trip back in October, they have redesigned the craft section. It is a lot more organized now and not just thrown together. Sorted by breweries and their is quite a good selection.
They seem to hang onto some stuff that other stores have been out of for a while. First place I found Avery's Beast Grand Cru and Samaels. I picked up a Creme Brulee this last time just cause they still had some.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but they seem content to wait for your approach, which is fine to me. Last time I went there, this young kid pointed me to a surefire winner for the wife, so I was pleased as she is a tough sell for beer.
This place is right down the street from a friends house, so I find excuses to visit. If you're ever in the area, it is worth the stop. They have been the only place in RI that I have seen Brooklyn Black Ops.

While not a beauty for the exterior (as others have posted - definitely worth a visit based on what is inside the store)

I had been here before for a tasting a couple of years ago. A quick stop today and have to say it is a solid beer store. A decent selection of craft beer - a lot of local and regionals. I was happily surprised to see several German brews that I haven't had before and a nice wall of Belgians with several that were new to me.

A great store to visit if you're in the neighborhood.

Went here for the first time while driving through. Stopped in to just pick up a 6 pack of "everyday" beer, not expecting anything more than Sam Adams. Boy, was I surprised. What looked like your average middle of nowhere Bud-slinging package store was actually a pretty good beer store. They had stuff on the shelf that the better known stores had sold out of (Creme Brulee, 2006 Rogue Imperial Stout) and their prices were lower than a lot of the other places.

Next time I drive through, I definitely know where I'm stopping. I rated the service good, only because the kid helped a friend of mine find a case of what he wanted (Gritty's Halloween Ale). I didn't really ask for any help. I do think the 6 pack of Stone Coast Black Bear Porter I bought there was pretty old (undated) as it tasted a bit off and a few of the bottles were near gushers, but the selection was impressive for a little package store.

B&C isn't much to look at from the outside but it's beer that counts and they do very well with that.

They have a very good selection including lots of Belgians and a wide range of American beers. They cover many of my favorite breweries (such as Rogue, Dogfish Head and Victory) with several different offerings from each. I picked up a Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA which I've been meaning to try. The singles are displayed at room temperature but the six packs are kept cold for the most part.

Stop in and check it out.

Great little liquors store. Never knew about this place until a Noble person told me about it. Went there looking for a particular brew . Once walking into the place I walked around and was quite happy with their selection. I still had a hard time finding the brew that I wanted and asked the girl at the counter to help me. She looked at the inventory on the computer and found it for me. The best thing about finding the beer was that it was already cold. They have a huge selection of refrigerated craft beer. Was nice to be able to buy a ready to drink. They had all the usuals and lots of locals.

Stopped in because I saw they had some New England Imperial Stout Trooper on beerspy. Unfortunately, by the time I got there it was all gone. However, I wasn't too disappointed because they had a really sweet selection. I walked the store starting on the left and wasn't too impressed initially, but as I worked my way around the perimeter I was blown away. Really great selection - lots of DFH, a few Oskar Blues, Woodstock Inn, Avery, North Coast, BBC, Southern Tier, Southampton, Allagash, Unibroue, Ommegang (had a few of the gift packs), Haverhill (3 or 4), a couple New England brewing, 3 Jolly Pumkpins, a few Wychwood, a few Brooklyn 6ers as well as Local 1, Rogue, Victory, Hooker, Saranac, Heavy Seas, Flying Dog, and several belgians (Orval, Duvel, Chouffe, Rochefort, Cantillon, Duchesse De Bourgogne, Saison Dupont) including several belgians I don't regularly see. There is definitely something for everyone here, and I've barely scratched the surface of what is available. Sign states mix-a-six, but apparently it's limited to some of the bomber stock according to the worker I asked. Some of the pricing was spot on, but some of the stock seemed a bit pricey, comparably speaking. Also scored a 2006 Killer Penguin. B&C is easy on/off 295, so worth checking out. Another plus is that they have a decent cooler selection, so you don't have to wait ;)

From the outside B & C looks like the kind of place who’s most exotic beer would be Guinness. I would have never stopped in until a beer friend continued to rant and rave about it, and I was pleasantly surprised. The beer section is bigger then the wine and liquor section combined, and if it can be had in the state of RI they either have it, or will get it. The owner is a big beer guy, and most of the craft brews have their BA rating noted next to the price. Defiantly the best craft beer store in Northeast RI, a bit pricy, but still reasonable.

B&C Liquors is not much to look at from the outside; however, everytime I walk in, I'm like a kid at Christmas....and I want one of everything ! The majority of their vast selection is in cold storage (a big plus) along with a whole wall of Belgians and Bombers. If I see something I would like to try on BA, I can usually find it at B&C. Not a big selection of wine or spirits - definitely a craft beer store. The owners are quite friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. B&C Liquors is easily accessible from I-295.

I read about this place on BA for a while but never got to drop in. I have been by it a thousand times before and laughed to myself when I got there because I have passed it literally hundreds of times. It is true what the past reviewers have said about it being deceiving from the outside but once you get in, and walk past the register, you get smacked in the face with a great selection of beer, including the Belgians and some Trappist ales. The stocked the Rochefort lineup, Orval, Chouffe, and a plethora of others on a couple small shelves. They have an abundance of great craft beer stocked in the coolers too. Most of them are all dedicated to craft/micro brews and the BMC is stashed away down in the corner...love it. I even found more bombers in their coolers on the other side of the small store, right in front of the entrance to the left. The guy working there wa very cool and knew what he was talking about as well. Chalk it up to another great liquor store in Rhode Island.

I am amazed to find that after four years of attending Bryant University, I never knew about B&C until my last semester here at school. I have only been there once, but when I walked in and found a Saranac Growler (which I previously had yet to find) I knew that this was the place for me. The beer selection is fantastic. They post ratings right under the beer so you know what you're getting. They have a selection of wine, although I did not browse through them. They also stock a variety of spirits and for us college kids who do not want to pay for everyone at our parties to drink good beer (that's just for us), they do have a selection of the mass produced stuff (coors light, bud light, etc.).

Overall this shop is amazing with a fantastic selection and great service.

Don’t let the Budweiser and NASCAR signs fool you B and C is one hell of a liquor store with an unbelievable selection. The outsides of the store are all remnants of the previous owners attitude that “only macros sell”. The new owners (I have only met Bert but he is cool and very knowledgeable) are making a real effort to bring some variety to Smithfield. The store is small but at least half the cooler cases, 6-7, are dedicated to great beers (Dogfish, Victory, Laguntas, Brooklyn, Clipper City, Off Shore, Newport Storm, Middle Ages, etc.). It’s a plus that the micro’s are all kept cold and you are not kept waiting for a cold beer. I would typically travel 30-45 minutes out of my way to a good liquor store with a decent selection but with B&C I can just shoot off 295 and be back on the highway in minutes. The selection is better than Thorpe’s and comparable to Yankee Spirits in South Attleboro. After my first visit the next morning I thought maybe it was just a really nice dream till I checked the fridge!

If you live anywhere near Smithfield or North Providence, check out this store. Selection is the best I've seen in all of RI, prices are more than reasonable, and the owners are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable...whether you're looking for something new to try, or want to know the difference between a dubbel and a trippel...they will take care of you. Also, unlike some other stores that may have a decent selection, almost all of their wide selection of craft beers are available cold.

If you've been to this spot before - this is a store that has been around, but has recently changed ownership. Every week when I stop in, they seem to have at least 10 news types of beer....3 Floyd's, Rogue, Dogfishhead, Victory, Hooker...you name it. I actually drive about 10 minutes out of my way - past 6 other liquor stores - to see these guys, and I recommend you do the same.
