(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer has a thick chewy perfectly creamy head of light tan that shrinks to a thick film and last long after the beer is gone. The dense golden pecan colored body has strands of tiny carbonation when held to the light. Which each sip there is a cloud ring that sticks to the side of the glass.
S- This beer has a soft orange note to the hops that is well balanced with the dry notes of toasted hops some pale malts.
T- This beer has a smooth light toasted malt flavor with dry pale malt flavor and a hint of honey malt trailing along. The honey malt blends into the bitter green hop flavor and ends with a nice slightly pungent hop bite.
M- This beer has a medium-full mouthfeel with a dry texture and a crisp finish.
D- This one of the smoothest best drinking amber ales I have had. The distinct flavors of malt are clear and bold with some good depth and a nice amount of toast. The hops are present and balance the malts nicely. Just the right amount of pungent hops finish keeps this beer smooth and quaftable.

Pours a strong and stout looking, true redhead red or amber with some mild bubbles and a good after por head. Very light lacing after first few sips. Aroma makes me think of a mildy bitter biscuity, rye bread. Some mild piney resins hint at Oregon. The atste is a mildly amber tasting bitterness with lots of pale and amber amlts intermibngling to give a very easy to drink and well balanced smooth red ale.

Orange-gold-amber body, clear, with a clumpy, small, light khaki to off-white head. Laces reasonably well. Brown sugar on the nose along with butterscotch, malted milk, and fruity/orangey hops. Toasted malt flavors quickly give way to butterscotch and bread. Light fruitiness before ample citrus and herbal hop bitterness takes over. Appetizing, moderate body with a slightly creamy feel. Not bad at all.

This beer pours out a red colour and pops an off white head that is rather short lived. It is sparsely carbonated. No lace is cast.
The nose smells of brown sugar and nutmeg. Maybe some molasses as well. I detect a subtle hop aroma.
The taste is of bitter apple skins and brown sugar. Caramel notes are present as well. It is somewhat dry and chalky. Not much complexity is present or expected for that matter. It vacilates between sweet and dry bitterness.
Mouthfeel is light to medium.
Drinkability is fine. I personally find this to be an uninteresting style. This beer keeps me believing that. It is not foul by any means, it just fails to offer anything stimulating because it is bound by its style. I wish the amber ale was more interesting, but I don't see any reason to drink them. That goes for any brewery. Not bad just boring.

Explodes out of bottle with a five+ finger cream head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Sour apple cider nose. Starts sweet, gradually hops take over with a hoppy finish and bitter after taste. $1.69 for a 12oz bottle from Chalet Party Goshen, In.

120z purchased at Bello Vino in Ann Arbor and poured into a pint glass. The best before date is unreadable.
Clear copper with a small bubbly head of light tan that quickly falls to a fat ring.
Caramel malts and toast with nuts and some generic hops. There is also this weird medicinal like aroma in the background. The nose gives me the impression of someone's first attempt at brewing a brown ale.
Tastes better than it smells, but it lacks any balance between the malt and hops. The caramel toast and nuts are there with the hops taking a back seat as they come off as generic. I'm also getting some grainy flavors. The hops are left to linger in the after taste for a bit.
Nice mouth that is moderate and carbonated. Not a bad beer but there are much better examles of the style that are easier to find.

Bought a six pack of this right after the brewery opened. I had tried their porter and loved it so i thought i'd check out some of their other beers.
This is an average beer with nothing really great that sets it apart from other ambers. It's also got kind of an overabundance of caramel flavor that is distracting and it sticks around as an aftertaste. reddish color when poured, kind of a citrusy odor.
i really want the brewery to stay afloat because of how good their porter is (and because they're making an imperial IPA right now) but this beer is ok too and i hope they all catch on.
