On-tap at Square One.
Beer is dark caramel coloured, with a moderately sized white head. Good lacing.
Smell consists of yeast, sweet malt, caramel and booze. I don't really get a hop scent and the booze and caramel are surprisingly big.
Taste, like the smell, is centred on caramel malt, booze, Belgian yeast, along with some light fruit flavours. Slightly bitter. I really don't get much in the way of hops and it is not the most obviously "Belgian" beer I have had.
Full bodied, moderate carbonation. Boozy.
Overall, not a success as a Belgian IPA, but an OK beer. I don't get the IPA-aspect of this beer at all.
