The beer pours a dark watery looking amber with no head (identical to the regular scotch ale). The nose is fresh chopped jalapeños with a bit of toasty, caramel sweetness underneath. The taste really carries the jalapeño vodka forward (which they distill themselves) with just the right amount of vegetal heat and sweetness. The base beer is quite tasty on its own and the jalapeño takes it in a totally different direction (in a good way). It's relatively light bodied, sweet, under carbonated, with jalapeño bark in the front followed by the lingering, deep tendon, jalapeño bite in the finish. Great combo that brings harmony between style and adjunct, leaves good heat lingering on the palate, and hopefully won't make me crap my pants in 2 hrs.
