The beer pours a dark amber color with a 1/4" offwhite head that quickly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a light malty scent that boasts of pale and crystal malts along with a mild hop bitterness. The taste is decent as well. It has a weak and slightly watery malt flavor that boasts of pale and crystal malts. It has a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste along with a dry finish. The mouthfeel is above average. It is a medium bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a good drinking brew despite it's lack of body and complexity.

This was a good one. A "Welsh-Red-Ale" that seemed like a standard (ordinary) English bitter as far as I am concerned. This was pulled fresh from the handpump at the Ship. This brew was a nice dark red colour with no real head to speak of. The aromas were fresh citrusy hops and nice bready malts. The taste was slightly hoppy up front and nice and biscuity in the middle with a strange, caramel malt finish. The mouthfeel was cask goodness and the drinkability was da' bomb. Nice stuff Jersey.
