Ship Inn- Pheasant Plucker
Appearance- Dark pecan brown with a silky smooth head.
Smell- Strong smokey BBQ sauce. Sugar and molasses.
Taste- Big Smokey molasses with brown sugar, roasted filberts, and spice.
Mouthfeel- Tangy and sweet up front but finishing of with a light dry bitterness.
Overall- Pheasant Plucker's spoonerism is Pleasant *ucker! Coincidence?! Probably not!
Unique, but nice tasting Brown Ale. A few blue collar boys' walked in, sampled a few beers and ending up drinking a few of these. A popular beer at the Ship Inn it looks like!

A dark brown brew with a small off-white head that died rather quickly. The aromas were of molasses, caramel malts, east golding hops, a bit of chocolate, and a slightly roasty/smoky flavor. The taste was nice and sweet up front, a little hoppy in the middle, and roasty and dry in the finish. The mouthfeel was medium bodied>thick and the drinkability was good as well. An interesting English/Brown/Winter/Ale.
