I had this on draught at the brew pub. It's copper colored without much head or lacing. I think it would have been more attractive if poured from the bottle. Also, the temperature at which it was served minimized the smell. The initial taste was fairly sweet with discernible honey, which quickly gave way to a nice dry hoppy finish. Overall, it was pleasant to drink but I thought they served it too cold.

Had this on tap and in a growler.
this is a very good beer. Pours a copper-amber color. Cannot comment much on head retention and lacing as it was served from the walk-in cooler keg room to a growler, although not that important being how good it is.
First smell definitely brings out the honey and hops, although not too hoppy by any means. More sweet malty aroma thanks to the honey and the Ringwood yeast. This batch finished at the perfect gravity and has a excellent balance of malt and hops, also not too sweet, not too dry.
Has a very fermented-honey taste to it. A must try. this is the highest ABV on tap at the moment coming in at 7%, which it hides very well. This, and everything on tap can let the old english brewers rest easy knowing someone still makes their great ales.

Not really a growler, but a 5-quart box, like a wine box--they fill it and seal it in the bar.
First thing you notice is the extremely low carbonation; barely any head. A pretty dark amber beer. Pronounced aroma of honey and caramel maltiness. Taste: Initial impression of sweetness, but that's a trick your senses play on you; the honey flavor fools you for a second. Nice balance between the honey flavor and hop bitterness. Just discovered the Ship Inn this week--will be back.

First had: on tap at the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild 15th Annual Beer Festival, USS New Jersey, Camden, NJ
A pale ale brewed with local honey. Poured a clear golden yellow with a small wispy head. Sweet, grainy aroma; pretty simple. Smooth taste of sweet, lightly toasted malts and honey, pretty basic. A little bit of hoppiness in the finish, leaving a little stale bitterness in the mouth, which was a shame considering the beer started off so sweet. But still, not bad. Light mouthfeel, and pretty drinkable.
