A Bavarian specialty of dark colored, top fermented yeast beer with typical yeast cloudiness. Its unmistakable and well balanced taste is due to an excellent choice of dark aromatic malt and goes very well with traditional Bavarian dishes.

Tucher Dunkles Hefe Weizen pours a clean, darker, pretzel-like brown, with a bigger, long-lasting head. The aroma has note so fsalt and banana. The flavor has slight notes of banana, salt, and creamy wheat. Good feel.

Pours a rich mahogany color with a nice two finger head with decent retention and spotty lacing. Has a nice sweet aroma with bananas, cloves, bubble gum, caramel, and yeast. Very nice aroma. Tastes just like it smells. a nice soft sweetness with just enough hop bitterness to provide balance. Light to medium bodied with proper carbonation. Has a light banana and clove aftertaste. A nice beer which i would buy again.

Pours a cloudy and mostly opaque brown with a five-finger white head.

Big aromas of bubblegum and banana, with clove and brown bread coming through as it warms. Straight off the pour, this is some of the most distinct bubblegum aroma I've ever gotten from a hefeweizen.

On the palate, the clove is more prominent atop a brown bread and toast base, with bubblegum and banana in supporting roles. Through the middle of the sip, some toffee joins that lingers along with caramel and clove through the finish. There's a hint of earthy hops at the finish, again atop that brown bread foundation that anchors everything throughout.

Robust but fine carb give a frothy and prickly feel. However, the body is lighter than expected and feels rather thin for the style.

Overall, a good Dunkelweizen but the thin feel leaves me wanting. I'll take what I can get, though, for a style that is nearly impossible to find at my locals.

L-Pours a regal mahogany color..pefect one white head on top...

S-Dark bread crusts, light banana, spicy cloves

T-Cloves up front...then dark bread crusts and hint of banana

F-Medium bodied...perfect carbonation

O-Balanced and well made...highly drinkable...there are more assertive examples of the style out there but this is quite good.

This is one outstanding brew! Pours a think head with lots of lacing. Scents of cloves and yeasty burnt chocolate on the nose. Very smooth. Creamy mouthfeel with caramel, dark chocolate, cloves, and light toffee. Well balanced.
This one must be tried at least once by any great beer connoisseur.

16.9 oz. can poured into wheat beer glass
(July 30, 2024 born-on date; Oct. 30, 2025 best-by date printed on bottom of can)

L: brown-copper, hints of amber and dark orange, SRM 18-20, topped with meringue-thick head of beige/tan foam about 2-inches tall; no major sticking or lacing; loads of activity in the glass pushes up constant skin of beige/tan foam with a thick collar; the beer is murky, about 60-70% opaque

S: fruitcake, toffee-drizzled dark bread, dark dried fruits, yeasty pizza crust, molasses

T: molasses covered banana, fruitcake with loads of banana added, banana bread, hints of clove but they're minimal compared to the dark banana notes; the sweet notes hit first, but over time the beer's sweetness subsides and a simple but tasty dark wheat bread flavor dominates; the banana flavor is always there even when it's not really what I would call sweet

F: fluffy soft, lightweight, almost water but filled out nicely with the carbonation; drinking through the constant skin of foam softens it more; I gave it a pretty big pour, so fans of carbonation might pour lightly, but I like it in this softer version ... and it's not like it's flat — there's plenty of carbonation to around with this beer

O: very good dark hefe with good banana notes, good dark-bread notes and an easy-drinking mouthfeel to make it an all-around delight; the sweetness is present but far from overpowering ... in fact, it's more of what I'd call a balanced beer than a sweet beer; I will revisit this in the future, and I will continue looking for more Tucher beers ... my experience with their stuff so far has been positive
