Poured from a 16oz can into a pint glass. Tucher pours a bright copper without any turbidity or cloudiness. A rocky white head dissolves rather fast, leaving behind a light streaky lace around the glass. Tucher smells malty with notes of vanilla and toast, reminiscent of a crème soda. Taste is distinctively malt forward, with fresh bread, and sweet crème brûlées toast that progresses to a dry finish with bit of clove spice. Mouthfeel is medium-light with a medium-high amount of carbonation making this very crushable. Cheers!

 

A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; a 2 finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a wispy cap with a moderate tight collar; nice lacing;

S: sweet malt and bread;

T: sweet malt for a moment, then mint with sweet malt and bread in the background to the end; aftertaste is apple; after a few sips, the mint disappeared and the flavor followed the nose;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: the mint was a surprise; my palate was clean;

Pours into a pint glass with clarity and a one finger head. Dark golden color. Rich aroma of floral hopes. The description calls out Helles style and the sweetness comes through the nose. Very smooth and balanced with similar sweetness from the malt and hops. Very good lager beer, a little too floral and sweet for a true festbier. But no reason to penalize a good beer because of beer advocates labels. :)

Had on tap. Clear golden body, finger of white foam. Excellent Festbier with an emphasis on transcendent yeast that fills the palate in waves of soft grain and bread, bright malts, mild citrus hops, and bready tones support. Aromas lean bready and cracker with malt and yeasty tones supporting. Feel is light yet full and sneaky lush, bready and festive. The wife loved it

Pours an effervescent & bright gold with 3 fingers of ivory colored head. Average-ish head retention & lacing

S: Bready, a little grassy, some perfumy hops once warm

T: Follows the nose, a little dry with a little bit of spicy/lemony hops up front. Grassy bitterness, breadyness & dryness as this beer warms up. Finishes dry, bready with a little lemony & grassy bitterness

MF: Medium body, fairly soft carbonation, good balance skews a little more bitter once warmer, but helps on drinkability

Nice drinkability, maybe a touch too bitter for style points? Minor deduction

This one was a Festbier I had never seen before, and it poured with an abundant head, but very little smell (maybe a little off). The flavor was solid, malty, though not sweet, and well-balanced, with no bitterness. Very crisp. My overall impression was that it was more of a Helles than a Wiesn. A world-class beer no doubt, but it doesn't make my annual Octoberfest pick-up list.

 

Look:
Bright golden pour with excellent clarity. A fluffy white head forms easily, settling into a creamy cap with good lacing. Attractive in a stein or mug, evoking that classic Oktoberfest appearance.

Smell:
Clean malt dominates, fresh bread, light toast, and hints of cracker. Subtle floral and herbal hop notes in the background. A touch of doughiness rounds it out.

Taste:
Malt-forward with soft bready and lightly toasty flavors, balanced by a restrained herbal/spicy hop character. Sweetness is low to moderate, drying quickly on the finish. Some versions show a faint alcohol warmth, but overall very smooth and balanced.

Feel:
Medium body with crisp carbonation. Smooth, soft, and highly drinkable. Finishes dry, which invites another sip.

Overall:
A golden, malt-focused lager that bridges the gap between Helles and Märzen. More “poundable” than the traditional Märzen, but with enough malt depth to keep it interesting. Crisp, clean, and festive, exactly what you’d expect to see in the big mugs at Oktoberfest.

Really Good. However, be advised this is not your typical Festbier as is a Helles. But this one is terrific. The water alone takes this one to a quality level, refreshing, wholesome and thirst quenching light Helles character. Impressed.
