Copenhagen 29/7 2025. 50 cl bottle from Netto Marken-Discount, Ossenreyer Straße, Stralsund. Red and white label with what might be a peregrine falcon.
Pours clear goden yellow with a mid-sized white head. A bit bubble. Bubbly. Disappears more or less aftertax a minute. No lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with sharp and a bit chemical scent. Sweet pale malts, bread and cardboard. Sharp grains and detergent.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a more moderate sourish bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Sharp and a bit unpleasant.

.5L, best before 7/4/2011.
Pours a deep, golden hue with a decent, fizzy head. Though the retention is average, the lacing is better than most.
The aroma is of light, flowery hops, but also a tad musty and husky.
The flavor is grainy, and not too sweet, surprisingly. More of a husky, bready flavor. As far as Exports go, this is a slightly bitter one. This is a simple beer, though it's not too clean and lacks some crispness. The carbonation is medium but soft, with a fuller mouthfeel than I expected.
In the end, this is not a very flavorful lager, but it's drinkable. Not bad for .30 per bottle at Netto, the German supermarket chain for which these inexpensive Falkenfelser beers are brewed.
