.5L, best before 7/4/11.
Pours a clear yellow-gold with a sorry, fizzy head. Retains a bit.
The aroma had some typical Pils hopiness at first, but that faded fast, leaving behind a dull malty character.
This Pils has basically no hop flavor, which is not surprising considering it's made with solely hop-extract. There is a bit of bitter bite at the end, but this stuff lacks the snappy, refreshing and bright hopiness of the better Pils. That said, the malt base is lightly crackery and grainy, and not offensive. The mouthfeel is at least smooth, with mellow but consistent carb.
Drinkable, but boring and not convincing for the style. Oh well, I wasn't expecting much for thirty cents a bottle. The Falkenfelser Export is the best of the Netto bunch so far, though that's not saying much.
