Had on-tap in Rothenberg, Germany. Served in a tall pint glass.
L: Pours a clear golden with thick white head.
S: Biscuits and malts. Light hops.
T/F: Pretty typical for the style. Malt background with some bittering at the finish. Light peppery notes as well. Ample carbonation.
O: A reasonable but unspectacular German helles lager. This wasn't offensive but there are much better to be had.

Trying a beer bought in Germany, on a recent (short) trip there. A good and nice view of german lager. it's powerfull and crisp.
Massive bubbling, that lasts and lasts...
Very much a smell of grassy hops. Weeds in a summer's lawn. Yeasty and malty besides.
All over the character of lager... a powerfull one.
