Falkenfelser Hell Premium (Urig-wurzig)
.5L bottle dated best by 2 Jan. 2013. Purchased and consumed in Bavaria.
A: Sweet light grain; limited hops.
T: nice sweet/bitter balance, with most of the sweetness up front and a lasting mild bitterness coming through in the finish and aftertaste. Hop/malt balance is quite good too even though the aroma suggested this Helles might be under-hopped.
M: creamy smooth; light-medium body without watery property. Perfect carbonation.
O: to my surprise, this compared nicely to an Andecher Hell I had on tap at their Braustuberi earlier the same day. Mouthfeel and finish are particularly strong.
