22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/26/2017. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, white bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, white bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus zest, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, white bread, light honey, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Mild warmth of 8.7% after the finish. Overall this is a delicious DIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Really great juicy citrus hop complexity; nice pale malt backing, with minimal residual sweetness. Feels like a classic Centennial, Cascade, Amarillo profile. Well attenuated and not overly sweet from the rice. A very enjoyable offering.
