pint glass, no freshness date.
a - pours a hazy, light amber color with a giant, off white, 3 finger head. visible streams of bubbles indicate that there is plenty of carbonation in this bottle. head retention is excellent and leaves rings of lacing down the sides of the glass.
s - grapefruit, and lemon. almost has a sour nose to it. after a few sniffs i can just barely detect a grassy hop profile.
t - has a weird sweet and sour thing going on. very grainy up front followed by a stale orange juice kinda flavor. finishes with a pungent sort of bitterness. flavor slowly becomes more and more offensive as it warms up.
m - medium body with plenty of carbonation.
d - eh, drinkable but still not that great. get it on tap if you can.
on a side note, this beer hasn't officially been retired. mcb does brew it every once in a while, though this past winter is the first time i have seen it available in over two years.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a 20oz imperial pint.
A: Pours a crystal clear glowing-amber color. No head. Just a thin skim and bubbly ring. Very still.
S: Aromas of tangy, fruity hops and caramel malt.
T: Tart and fruity hops, caramel malt. Some toasted malt in there as well.
M: Thinnish, but nicely bitter, dry, and astringent. Pretty sticky, too.
D: Pretty drinkable. The warmer it gets, the better it gets.
