A-Dark brown w/nice creamy off-white head, decent retention, and lots of carbonation activity visible at bottom of snifter.
S-Complex multi-layered aromas: fruit notes including raspberry, fig, date; chocolate; roasty/burnt malty backbone w/hint of sourness that complements the blend of dark fruit and sweet malt. Could smell this all day.
T&M-Light sourness and fruitiness upfront that opens up to a malty backbone midway that is balanced by a sweet/sour/burnt sensation. The finish is slightly sweet and the aftertaste a little tart. Carbonation is on the lighter side, but ample. Body a little too light, and balance is evenly distributed.
D-Shocked me initially since I wasn't expecting the style on the first sip, but it is quite good, refreshing, and even sessionable. I have no idea what the abv is, but I would guess around 5-6%.
