12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/11/2015. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange, pear, apple, honey, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light clove/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange, pear, apple, honey, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light clove/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, light clove/pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops and pale malt flavors; with a nice malt/yeast spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good pale wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavor; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

A: The beer is hazy orangey amber in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that rapidly dissipated, leaving only a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Very faint aromas of wheat and caramel malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of wheat and noted of caramel malts along with subtle hints of citrus.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink, but nothing stands out as being overly interesting in the taste and the smell is almost non-existent.

Appearance is a burnt orange hazy cloudy , slight lacing. every bottle tells you it has sediment. So it has floaters, looks like cloudy beer, kinda funky.

Smell- Can smell the alcohol for sure, Malt and citrus like the bottle descripts, but boozy smell over powers that for me

Taste- I dont like it, maybe you will. Not typical wheat flavor,,,,again earthy, Much like the other beer i had from this Brewery . Alcohol warming too. and that soapy taste again too? refreshing bland taste. Acidic slightly, metallic also , poured from bottle into a snifter could swear im drinking form a can? The taste is not bad I would prefer to drink something with flavor. Malt becomes more pronounced after warm up.

Mouth fell- Soapy? What with this place and this flavor? Maybe it is the type of yeast they use, I don't know but I dislike it. Loaded with small tight carbonation bubbles that gives it the refreshing feel. A cloying after taste that is less than desirable . Not overpowering but meh?!?!

Overall will not seek out or buy anything form this brewery until i can confirm that soapy taste is completely gone. For a Summer Beer this has no qualities to lead me to believe that it is. I am expecting citrus or lemon or orange as the label would lead you to believe. Like a refreshing wheat style shandy or something along that line , Not just something more than bland flavor with a kicked up abv.

A decent beer. Drinkable... nothing spectacular.

I got this at the MCBW on tap as part of their sampler and I didn't think it was too bad. Not too strong on flavor, but pretty high on the ABV... was served with a slice of orange as well. No head, and minimal carbonation.

It's an A-OK made in Detroit beer.

12 oz Bottle - Dec 20, 2007. Aroma glows of light styrofoam and tangerine spritz. Weird. Lightly off. Comes out as a clouded pale orange with white soapy rim. Flavor is a thin, minimal cardboard, mineral and light, faint infection. Bland and terrible. Nothing really there and what is, isn’t working. Finishes on palpable wax. Thanks anyway Sean!
