before popping the cap, sediment is clearly visible at the bottom of the bottle. the first pour reveals a very clear golden, fizzy and relatively average looking beer. true to the style this beer is bubbly and has a nice big white head. after shaking and swirling, topping off, we see a nice cloudy hefeweizen.
smells good! fruity, bananas and clove, no surprises for the style, but it still amazes me that this is a japanese beer. like inuyama loreley's (my other local brewery) hefeweizen, i believe this beer really holds its own against some of the best hefes i've had! decent taste and mouthfeel, nice and smooth, well rounded. extremely sessionable, except for the price. also like inuyama's this one is expensive.
this is a nice, well-made hefeweizen, and a great japanese beer. i really want to represent my local breweries, but for the same price i can order weihenstephaner, germans and belgians... oh well. i'll have one of each !
kanpai!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
