I walked into a local store and saw this; I'm unfamiliar with the brewery or any of their beers, so I thought I'd give it a try. I was surprised to see that this is the first review of this beer, so I'll try to do it justice. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, beer is an orangish-gold color with a one-finger, frothy, off-white head. Smell is not overwhelming, a slight sweet malty presence with a touch of earthy hops. The taste is actually quite bitter, more than I was expecting, but not to the point of being unbalanced. There is an initial malty sweetness but it is well hopped and has a smooth, slightly dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and is well carbonated. This is a drinkable beer, enjoyable, better than average, but nothing out of this world. I will make a point to try Fletcher Street's other brews.
