This was an interesting (and new??) brewpub in downtown Bay City. It is located roughly at the end of a street that also contains about 7 other bars, which seemed a little odd to me. Apparently this place is like 5 places in one - restaurant, brewpub, martini bar, banquet hall, and arcade. We got there at opening time, around 11:30am and it was pretty empty. We had the whole bar to ourselves. We stayed several hours, but only 2-3 other parties sat down in the brewpub area. Which seemed weird to me because it is a very large area, but maybe people only come at night?? The beers I had were mostly mediocre, but drinkable and enjoyable. They had ~8 taps including some interesting styles such as doppelbock, saison, rauchbier. It is a nice place and VERY cheap (the cheapest brewpub we stopped at in Michigan - only $2.50 a pint and there was no happy hour going on or anything. Very reasonable food prices as well. Anyway, I think it is worth a visit and hopefully they can make some tastier beers.

Hit up on a slow Sunday around noon with three fellow BA's while on a MI beer tour.

A two part area with the main table seating and a pub style bar which lead to the left from the main entrance. Another section is a cigar and drink bar.

Beer selection was decent with 8 house brewed beers on tap. I had a surprisingly good saison.

Mostly pub grub and steaks. I had a nicely done bowl of wild mushroom bisque and Scotch eggs, which are ALWAYS a big favorite of mine if I see them on a menu! My friends had a grilled vege and goat cheese pizza, that was nice too.

Service was good with an attentive and pleasant attitude. Not hard to do since we were only one of two parties there at the time. Regardless I only have this visit to rate off of so....no shortcomings this time.

A decent place in the heart of "trying to rebuild" downtown area of Bay City. I read the local newspaper articles about the owner...sounds like a very polarizing individual...but at least he is trying to help out the local economy, which can use ALL the help it can get. I would visit again if travels found me in the area. LB is certainly not a destination brewpub but it is worthy of a stop.

I have visited twice since the opening in early December. THis is the former Hereford and Hops which had notoriously bad service. A good feel immediately when you walk through the door, Beer menu shows 8 varieties, but only 5 have been on in my 2 visits. Also have Mic Ultra and Miller LIte if you are in to that. Sampled all the offerings except the wheat and will review as time permits. Food was good, nice club, decent wings, beware the rueben with cole slaw and ranch. Cigar lounge and martini bar in the back where the stables used to be, nice and classy. Overall a must see and 2.25 pints will please the locals.
